A Doctor of Audiology is a primary healthcare professional who evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and manages hearing loss and balance disorders in individuals of all ages from infants to the geriatric population.
Most Audiologists have earned an Au.D. (Doctor of Audiology). An Au.D has the highest education that their field offers. They must be licensed to practice in all states and are required to pursue continuing education to stay informed of the newest information and research in their field.
